Happy Thanksgiving (and a poll)!
I'm grateful for our community and have some restaurants serving up Thanksgiving if you're looking.
Hello there, popping in to your inbox (or app) to quickly highlight some Rhode Island area restaurants that are either serving dinner on Thanksgiving Day or are offering take-out, including desserts, charcuterie boards and full meals.
As always, the Events Calendar page on eatdrinkri.com is the place for all these choices. As a quick explainer, any places on the calendar that offer Thanksgiving to-go that have an ordering deadline, that’s the date you’ll see on the calendar. This is why so many events that begin with Thanksgiving 2024 are on the calendar ahead of the 28th. For example, Milk Thistle Kitchen has a deadline of 9 p.m. on the 23rd, so you’ll see that on Saturday the 23rd. Got it? It makes sense to me so I hope it does to you too. So if you’re looking for something to bring home, or to a loved one’s, on Thanksgiving please shop one of these local places.
Restaurants serving Thanksgiving dinner on Thanksgiving day are all listed there on the 28th. That’s easy, right? Thank you for dining local on Thanksgiving and all-year-round. Our restaurants and local producers appreciate it and I appreciate your reading this. One last time, the page is: https://www.eatdrinkri.com/events/ and that’s the destination for all the best local food and drink events all the time.
Looking for something to drink with your Thanksgiving dinner? I’m not about to say any one beverage pairs perfectly with the melange of flavors that can be served on Thanksgiving, but I do keep adding to my wine tasting videos on YouTube, so there should be something I enjoy that you’ll enjoy too. Here’s my latest video:
As you may know I love to cook for Thanksgiving and the reason I link to my Instagram is on the days leading up to Thanksgiving I try to post a ton of story pics and have some fun while prepping and cooking. I appreciate anyone who enjoys following along and comments and questions are always welcome. I try to respond to them all. https://www.instagram.com/eatdrinkri
Oh you know what’s coming next, don’t you? I asked Brenda to put up the outdoor lights already as she very much doesn’t like to decorate for Christmas before Thanksgiving, and I’m listening to Diana Krall sing “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” as I type this. As many of you know, I’ve got three of these ridiculous (-ly wonderful) Christmas suits and now I’ve got a poll for you.
If you want to see one of the suits in person I’ll be at this very fun ecoRI News event on the 8th. If you value independent journalism, especially some that covers the environment, then perhaps you’ll want to donate to ecoRI News on Giving Tuesday which the employees and the board of directors are calling Giving Newsday, and the Board is matching up to $5K in donations that day. Donate any time for the ecoRI News year-end campaign or on Giving Tuesday for the match.
As always, thank you for reading this far down. There’s news and updates on eatdrinkri.com in addition to stories, links, reels, posts, liquor scores, etc. on my media:
